peggy jones says she was riding her mower at her home just north of beaumont, texas, when a snake dropped sky and landed on her as it grabbed her arm. a hawk which had presumably accidentally dropped the snake, swooped down to try to reclaim its prey. >> this was a bad day for peggy. joan says. blood was everywhere as the hawk clawed at her trying to get that snake. it took four tries for the hawk to finally grab the critter and fly off with it. peggy was treated at the hospital for her injuries and is now back riding her lawn mower. look at that. >> a trooper with the thumbs up and everything. by the way, those injuries are pretty gruesome. we had to blur it out there for you, just mowing along a snake falls out of the sky. you got to be thinking to yourself, what the heck? and then boom, a hawk. >> you're attacked by both. the odds are crazy. well next to nearly 10,000 people signing up to legally change their names to subway. >> wait, what? >> yep. crazy subway. the sandwich chain says just 96 hours after announcing its name change challenge, nearly 10,000 super fans entered to change

peggy jones describes the terrifying incident, seeing her first instinct when that snake landed on hert the snake wrapped around her arm and started striking at her repeatedly. then a hawk that had dropped the snake ripped the snake away, digging his talons into her arm. in the process, the hawk i mean, his wings are just flapping and i can feel the wings on me. i don't really know. i can't say i know how it feels to die because i'm still alive. but i really think that i got really close. it's just straight bizarre. i mean, we can't even show the damage that talon cause. wow. husband rushing to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries . she says she is thankful she survived being attacked by a snake and by a hawk at the same time. what are the chances of something like that happening that's just insane. that's a crazy story. that's like a movie . it does sound like an alfred hitchcock movie. fast. all right . let's move away from that for now. still to come on, the nine homes destroyed and thousands of people ordered to evacuate last night from my daughter across the island.
