and then also for the peninsula. we're still seeing that rain pouring in san mateo and extending across the bay. the north bay is still the focus for that rain today. look at how there's a sharp cutoff from san rafael on northward. we're seeing that rain and then farther south it's just cloudy and a little bit breezy. and that's what we're going to see throughout today. tomorrow we'll start to see this push system pushing to the south and eventually all of the rest of the bay area will get some very high measured amounts of rainfall. so we're watching all of this as our temperatures will be changing, our weather will be changing. and also looking at conditions changing over the next 24 hours. so i'll have more updates on that coming up in just a few minutes. back to you. all right kerry. thank you. as you saw from carrie's report, of course, we're monitoring what's happening across the bay area. and this morning we are seeing some damage, especially in parts of the north bay. and that's where today in the bay ginger

headed into the peninsula. so that's going to give us some trouble for pretty much the remainder of the morning. there are a pair of crashes that i mentioned there on 101 southbound and northbound, actually on 101. in marin county. if you get through to san rafael into richmond, you're not going to see much relief there because we still have that three car crash that's caused a big backup in berkeley. and then you get through that and you're trying to head into san francisco. boy, it has been a journey for you because we still have a lot of backup on the bay bridge here. no accidents to report there. just a lot of cars on the roadway giving us quite a bit of a backup. the bay bridge toll plaza metering lights still on again. it will take you close to an hour to get from downtown oakland into downtown san francisco. so keep all of that in mind before you head out the door. it's going to be a long commute today. 711 this morning we'll go back to dave on the news desk. >> all right. thank you, james. well, another
