area that has seen some showers, the peninsula. and that does include as this morning, a bit of a wet tarmac out there. >> most of us across the bay area had a relatively dry evening. now, that's especially true for most of the north bay and the east bay. but we have seen these spotty showers still rolling on over the peninsula. san francisco at times in the south bay to and if you notice, it's not just the green on the map this morning. it's also fair share of blue in the mountains up above morgan hill and san jose talking spots like mount hamilton. we do have cold enough temperatures with cold, dry air sweeping across the region that we do have some snowfall on top of those higher elevations. so what you see some clearing going on in san jose. look to the eastern horizon. i see a little dusting up there and some of those higher peaks above you later on 30's to 40's for our current temperatures. sonoma petaluma saint all down to 39 degrees. oakland at 48 while san francisco at forty-seven degrees right now as we do move into the a

so much of the peninsula. san francisco, oakland hasn't seen much of anything yet. once you get south of san mateo, it's been a few sprinkles. most of our heavier rainfall even down into the santa clara valley, san jose southward down towards morgan hill. that's where we're seeing some heavier pockets of rain. and that's where most of it's going to stay today. definitely not a lot north of the golden gate and not even a lot on the peninsula nor oakland up to richmond, 40's to 50's for current temperatures this afternoon will land in the 50's showers will continue for the south bay sparse up north until the evening tonight. we could see some isolated brief showers for all of the bay area rain. all right. john thing that's been raining on our cemetery ridge. we've seen a lot of that rain come down. we also have a traffic hazard on the bridge right near the mid sian. so we just saw chp moments ago driving towards that. don't over the stalled vehicle, but they're trying to get that off. the ridge drive times impacted. 36 minutes traveling across towards the peninsula me

as for areas on the peninsula. once you get off the dumbarton bridge into palo alto spots like that, looking at some solid showers, same down into the south bay. that's pretty much where it's going to stay. this is a south of the golden gate bridge, kind of a vet north of there. we don't see anything until a couple of drops during our overnight hours tonight. you actually see these little pop-up showers moving in across the bay area during your overnight hours wednesday night into thursday morning. some of these could produce some localized heavy rainfall. that will last for only a few moments. and then depart by tomorrow morning. all this rainfall doesn't add up to much in santa rosa, only 100th of an inch. that's hardly a drop where san jose will get over half an inch of it. moderate over one inch of rain. so very much so further south, mostly central coast. as for next week, though, it totally different story. monday system looks super significant. this is one next week that is going to impact especially the nor
