there's only going to be two entrances open at penn station. the long island railroad station and then the one under the msg marquee. they're scheduled to be open, but they could close at any time for security reasons. be prepared for overcrowding and congestion through there. for nj transit commuters, if you'd like to completely avoid penn station, you have some options. you could take nj transit and connect to the path at newark penn station. or you could take nj transit to hoboken to connect to path or to new york waterway ferries. that goes for the reverse commute as well. for lirr commuters, you can take the train to atlantic terminal. you have a lot of subway options jamaica, you can take the e, j, or z. it will take you a little longer. hopefully you won't have to deal with all that crowding out there. just for lower manhattan later today, this entire area will be affected at some point, including the west side highway completely shut down in this area from about 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. lots of changes down there. already have closures o
