marissa perlman has her story. >> confused and alone, for months, police finally identified this woman found in davis, with severe amnesia. >> how could she live like that on her own? >> her husband kurt saw the woman trying to cross the field behind the property and called police for help. >> she seemed kind of confused. but she was accepting of help. >> april 18, the la county sheriff's office put out a missing persons report for the 46-year-old moat woman, matching the description of the woman found in davis. the report says this woman suffers bipolar disorder and was not seen or heard from in more than one week. >> we really have no name, nothing. >> on friday, a phone tip was credited for identifying her, but why did it take so long? law enforcement uses the missing persons system, but the database does not scan for pictures, it is only searchable by name. it is not clear whether or not the los angeles sheriff's office was looking for this woman after they put out that report. without fingerprints, criminal history or a name, it becomes nearly impossible. >> they are under the imp

doctor perlman, in a 2020 op-ed, you applauded efforts to show the information rapidly and responsiblye now know that following the who's 2020 mission to china, the cpc issued a gag order to stop the sharing of any information related to the pandemic to coordinate the release of information with the chinese government. they also silenced their own scientists, deleted databases and military for the outbreak which is ridiculous. given how the last year and a half has unfolded, do you still stand by those comments? >> yes, so i think the points you make are very well taken. i think a lot of those comments were made at a time when the world was a little different. we talked about the 2020 lancet paper, and that did have a big impact, but it was at a time when the world was very divided into those who thought that this was all man-made, versus natural origin. and now everything is becoming more nuanced and i think it is appropriate. i certainly would if i had to do everything over again and i was smart i would have thought about those nuances back then. but at the time that is what we were
