according to the chp, this crash happened some time after 1 o'clock this morning on highway one in pescadero at bean hollow drive. >> the cause of the crash is under investigation. and police say the person who died was the only person inside the car. the chp is looking into whether speeding was a factor here. the lanes were blocked during the investigation, but they have since reopened. new at 3 deputies and san mateo county have arrested a man they say was attempting to burglarize the stanford linear accelerator center. this happened about 8.30, last night when deputies responded to a report of a man with bolt cutters on the property. they say when they arrived, they found 46 year-old ronald simpson running away and trying to hide from them in some bushes. simpson was later arrested and faces charges of attempted burglary. vandalism, possession of burglary, tools and resisting arrest. in the north bay, another bay area police department is now considering using drones. santa rosa police are considering drones that would be used as part of a first resaonder program to help fight crime to na
