here are the latest numbers we're getting according to petaluma police. they have responded to close to 19 narcotic related overdose calls and there have been three deaths in that six-month period. incidents are her owe inrelated but they have seen an increase in fentanyl, powerful and deadly if improperly used. i did look into the overall numbers when it comes to opioid deaths in all of california and which county are seeing the highest numbers. here is what i was able to find. these are the latest numbers as of 2016. they are coming to you from the california health care foundation. you can see on your television screen there there have been more than 2,000 opioid overdose deaths in 2016. 237 of those are fentanyl related overdose deaths and of the major counties, san francisco with the highest total in 2016 with 94 deaths, not listed on the screen yet, santa clara county reported 68 deaths and lowest number of deaths when you look at the major counties in the bay area was right here in nmarin, 14 deaths in 2016. that's with the latest petaluma incident
