pete suratos joins us looking at the obstacles and latest possible solutions as well. pete? >> reporter: a lot of us looking for solutions. at least as of this morning, it looks like they're going to fall short about 500,000 when it comes to that goal of additional vaccinations over ten days. let's talk about some of latest numbers. this is what we're seeing from the cdc, reporting about a third of the 3.5 million vaccine doses delivered to california have been administered. so millions of californians are still waiting for their vaccine. when it comes to this ten-day plan, announced last week by the governor, around half a million doses were administered, additional administered which was well short of the 1 million goal of additional vaccines. factors impacting this rollout of course you got to consider the overall size of california, and some health experts say the lack of guidance from the top when it comes to the distribution of this vaccine. now as far as a possible solution here in the bay area, the oakland kohl see sum is proposed as a potential mass vaccination site
