pete suratos is joining us live in redwood city with what we know so far. pete? >> reporter: well, marcus and laura, according to san mateo sheriff's department they say both of the cases that involve the victims being stabbed to death sound very similar and tryi tureut if they are at all connected. but let as give our view hes a timeline of the event. we start with the taxi cab driver found dead, one of the victims, 32-year-old nashir abdul malik of pacifica and he got a call from someone who needed a ride and told his family he would be back in a couple of hours. instead at around 11:00 p.m. on monday night a sheriff's deputy en route to a nonemergency call on skyline boulevard spotted his deceased body with stab wounds right there on skyline boulevard near reids roost road. after a full day of investigation yesterday detectives were called back to the scene around 11:00 to search for more evidence. about an hour later they hear a person calling for help at a turnout on skyline boulevard and this person has stab wounds and died. at the same time deputies spot a
