ucsf infectious disease expert doctor peter chin-hong says in california, whooping cough is reaching its highest levels in a decade. he says lack of people with updated vaccinations is contributing to the rise. not everyone has gotten it. particularly in babies. it does take a lot of shots in the beginning of since birth. so about five shots in the first six years. and because of that, it requires frequent visits. and that may not be easy for everyone, particularly during the pandemic. i think a lot of people weren't able to get their kids up to date on immunizations. doctor chin-hong says adults can receive antibiotics once diagnosed but remain infected for a period of time. he also says handwashing and masks can prevent catching whooping cough. well, later this week, the fire danger returns to the bay area with strong winds expected today in the bay's. kris sanchez joins us now with more on who this will really impact. so this will be for most of the bay area. we will be under a fire weather watch starting thursday through most of the weekend. so it will be a stressful weekend for
