mark sanford is live in a moment but first peter doocy where we begin on the schedule. lay out the schedule. when do republicans say they will repeal? let's start there, peter? >> we're told we should see the actual text of a bill endorsed by leadership to replace obamacare by the end of this month or the beginning of march and then a vote on said bill within a month later. >> legislatively i think we'll repeal obamacare within the next one to two months. i'm pretty sure of that. there is a debate whether to repeal the whole thing or whether or not some of the big government republicans want to keep obamacare lite. the conservatives were ready for a fight. the house freedom caucus said they won't vote for partial repeal. i'm in the same camp. >> bill: senator paul coe wrote a repeal bill but others are pitching a plan that would keep some of the popular provisions like coverage for people with pre-existing conditions intact. >> bill: what do they say could hold them back in the repeal process? what are they saying on that? >> there is concern by other republican senators

not even peter doocy got the word. live on the hill now. peter, good morning to you.o we know how much judge gorsuch will interact with lawmakers today? how many he will meet with and for how long? >> his meetings with lawmakers who may be skeptical about his nomination will be later. today it's a meeting with the senate majority leader mitch mcconnell saying he is confident gorsuch will join the supreme court and reminding people to ignore a lot of the noise of people who are coming out and criticizing the gorsuch pick. he says the only people who will have a say in this belong in the senate, are senators. >> the democrats are going to object to whoever was appointed. if it hadn't been one argument, it would be another. the house won't have any involvement in this. this will be a senate issue. >> now some of the republicans critical of president trump's actions since he took office are praising the gorsuch nomination like senator corey gardner who just days ago spoke out about the executive action on immigration. >> you saw a jurist of outstanding capabilities. someb

peter doocy with more.epublican leaders responding to the breaking news of flynn's resignation? >> we haven't heard anything from leadership on the hill just yet but we do expect that to come a few minutes from now. we have reaction trickling in from people like the house intel committee chairman nunez. he statement that david flynn served in the u.s. military for more than three decades. washington, d.c. can be a rough town for honorable people and flynn deserves america's gratitude and respect for dedicating so much of his life to strengthening our nation. democrats calling for investigations. nancy pelosi out with this saying she says the f.b.i. must accelerate its investigation of the russian connection with the trump administration and congress must call for an independent outside commission to fully investigate russia's influence on the administration and election. because flynn steps aside doesn't mean that democrats are done with him. at the same time this morning on the hill just a few minutes away

. >> melissa: rule 19 peter doocy live on capitol hill where all the flames and smoke and fire are this morning. tell us about it, peter. >> the senate is notorious for taking way too long but they moved quickly last night to vote 49-43 to sideline senator elizabeth warren until the end of debate on senator jeff sessions as attorney general which will come stimulate last night. you heard a little bit of it there. senator warren was trying to use a decades old letter by coretta scott king to make a case against sessions as a.g. republicans did view the text that she was reading as a violation of rule 19 which clearly states this, no senator in debate shall directly or indirectly by any form of words impute to another senator or to other senators any conduct or motive unworthy or unbecoming a senator. but apparently warren really liked that letter because even after they banished her from the senate floor she went on facebook to read it anyway. >> tonight i wanted to read that letter and senator mitch mcconnell and republicans came to the floor to shut me down from reading that letter. so

peter doocy is live on capitol hill. what are republicans doing to try to make sure devos gets confirmed. >> they'll have mike pence come up to the capitol around noon to preside over the confirmation vote to become the first ever tie-breaking vice president for a president's cabinet nominee and something also they're doing. last night there was a bed check vote. a procedure the leadership used to basically make sure that all 50 yes voting republican senators are in town after the weekend because if there is even one straggler and they don't have all 50 plus pence, then devos definitely does not get confirmed as education secretary. now, right after the devos matter is done today there is going to be a procedural vote on senator jeff sessions to become the attorney general to set up his final confirmation vote tomorrow and after sessions price for hhs secretary and mnuchin for treasury secretary are next on deck. >> melissa: it seems only right we have the first overtime in the super bowl and the first vp coming in to vo
