peter's square. he will be installed as pope on tuesday. san jose diocese will hold a new service today. thanksgiving mass for the election of pope francis begins at 11:30 this morning in st. joseph'saused a sonoma race car driver to crash. alex savidge joins us live. we are outside the teenager's high school in petaluma. > >> reporter: he hit and killed two people at the track last night including his own cousin. i just got off the phone withs driver's grandfather and he said this morning, the family is simply devastated and wanted to make it clear. chase johnson is a good boy and good driver. now according to the website. johnson has been racing since he is five years old. last night johnson lost control while he was doing practice lap at the marysville raceway. his car went over the wall and crashed into the pit area and two bystanders were killed. one was johnson's 14-year-old cousin. the other was a 68-year-old man who had several race cars involved in the race. it appears that johnson had trouble with the turn. >> he was trying to make the corner. and he didn't make the corner and went flying out the exit. >> it started tumbling and struck two people in a quad. >> >> reporter
