joining me now for more on this, peter morici, former chief economist for the u.s. international trade commission. peter, it's a study that was commissioned by the republicans, the house ways and means committee. does that mean they have their thumb on the scale in terms of getting a result that doesn't look good for the health care law? many should we be dismissive of this? >> oh, i don't think so. if there was a thumb on the scale, it was the president and his men in the congressional budget office in underestimating the cost of the national health care program when they were putting it out to congress. these are real costs, this is a real problem. the legislation will raise the cost to business if they continue coverage and give them dramatic incentives to drop it and push the cost of health care onto the taxpayer. megyn: so you're talking 71 of the fortune 100 companies, these are the biggest, most successful companies in the united states. these 71 companies employ 5.9 million people, that they -- it's just not worth their while to continue to provide employer-s
