so, for those who don't know, what exactly is the pew hispanic center? what is it that you do? >> we're a non-partisan, non-advocacy research organization based through washington, d.c. we're funded by the pew charitable trust out of philadelphia. and the pew hispanic center is actually part of a broader larger center called the pew research center. we do public opinion surveys, but we also do a lot of look at the demographics of the hispanic community. and one of our signature products actually is, how many unauthorized immigrants are there in the country. but our point is to provide facts. what do we know about the latino population in the us and how are they changing the us and how is the us changing them? >> hinojosa: so, results of the 2010 census. we're now talking about latinos being more than 50 million? >> that's correct, 50.5 million were counted in the 50 states plus the district of columbia. and when you include the island of puerto rico, you get about another 3.8 million latinos. so the hispanic population of the u.s. has grown tremendously, by about 43% over the la

hispanic? african-americans? seeing -- the are pew research center did some fascinating work in which if you look at it back then, then. which is a shifting of alliances. a business conservatives, they label them as such, and steadfast conservatives were both called conservatives, yet were very different on key issues. the steadfast conservatives are not really concerned about small government. meanwhile, they differ greatly --trade and immigration area immigration. they see a potential split their where trump can hold on. those businessse conservatives, might you have more and more ceo's saying -- i really like hillary clinton, but -- mynie: exactly, that was next question. will the democrats be able to capitalize on the disarray of the gop? peter: eric cantor is not a trump supporter, but he said absolutely not. he's even less of a hillary's up order. he says he believes that hillary has moved in the direction of elizabeth moran and bernie is no way thatre republicans could in a large number go to the democratic. i spoke to some people however said they very well could just because trump is such a loose cannon,
