let's bring in our senior international correspondent nick peyton walsh who is joining me.otel is closed. a couple of hours ago you had a chance to go in. what did you see. >> you can walk through the lobby to the beach, the scene of the massacre. last night, in the dark, you could see military humvee parked there. minimum police presence. remarkable giving the global attention it is getting. we see not that many police officers around the hotel itself. the access one could get from walking straight in there was open as well. a lot of guests at the hotel still in the lobby there. they are at the scene of the crime they have witnessed and had to wait hours to leave. the tourists with nowhere else to go they can't simply go home. they had to wait to get out. there were fears of more than one gunman and people are coming to terms with what they have seen and their own losses and i'm afraid to say the gruesome detail but they are still washing with the blood of the victims away behind us. >> what do we know of the details of this attack? at one stage, there it was thought there

nick peyton walsh joining me now. nick the hotel is closed. you were able to gain access some hours ago. what did you see and hear at that point? >> it was dark at that stage, but you could see, what you would expect to be a heavy police presence. a number of police around and a humvee sat on the sand. some lounges overturned. minimal police tape up and the usual pool to the lobby. the lobby was a scene of mixed up and down moan ya. a lot of confused witness accounts. you can never tell who security force is and who is doing what in a stage like that. >> one man had seen the gunman shoot four people dead next to him as well. a real sense of horror. somebody dropped their suitcase allowing their camera to crack on the floor. a lot of shock from hearing that noise. a troubling moment. imagine your holiday, where do you go. you paid for the hotel. they were waiting to take them out somewhere else. they have nowhere else to run to. >> describing he had been contacted by his tour company. they are being taken to the airport today. a lot of tour bus
