have you seen your latest pg&e bill? a lot of customers remain angry, especially after seeing pg&e.s latest profit margin tonight. the ceo of pg&e says she's still confident that rates will come down. but the question is when? here's our business and tech reporter scott budman. scott raj. most people track pg&e by looking at their bill, and over all of 2023, the average pg&e gas and electric customer's bill went up by more than 22%. that outpaces inflation by a lot. also up pg&e quarterly profit, and that has some customers charged up as the monthly bills of most pg&e customers went up, so did company profits. my bill went to $500 $500 from what? from around $100? pg&e says the hikes were necessary to pay for wildfire safety improvements, and because the cost of doing business was rising, the latest numbers show the utility's profit shot up 28% from the previous three months, totaling $520 million for the quarter, according to the utility reform network. pg&e has multiple rate increase requests sitting on the desk of the cpuc right now, those bills will not likely drop soon. the bil
