anderson? >> phil mattingly, thanks. let's talk about why hillary clinton is where she and is donald trump as well. john king back to break it down. the national polls show a small clinton lead. what's new? >> the new hampshire poll has the trump campaign thinking new hampshire is back in play. a poll conducted 42-42 among the state of new hampshire. out west, the whole campaign could the never trump conservative challenger evan mcmullin win utah? one poll had him near the top but now we're seeing conservative consolidation. donald trump, that is not healthy for the republican nominee at 37. mitt romney got 73%. but at least donald trump leading in utah. you are seeing conservative consolidation. that is two pieces of good news for trump. look at the state of georgia. traditionally a ruby red state. a dead heat there in georgia. the clinton campaign working the early voting there. they don't think they can win it but numbers like this maybe they have a shot. >> so trump does need to crack what democrats call the blue wal

anderson in business in detroit and went to princeton seminary. i went down to wesley seminary in dc next to american university and there was a great liberal friend of mine philho wrote economics and ethics in the same book. and so that was the fire, so i knew i wanted to teach philosophy and theology in college. once i saw that hook, the combination of, that was it. i worked in the world bank, i worked on sector stuff. i met my wife and was lucky enough, we both moved down where i taught economics and ethics. i ran the ethics minor program for 18 years and so that's how i live it out. it is my calling putting those things together and keeping that conversation going. a lot of this book is just old lecture notes. you touched on what you met here. meeting laura as you were closing on ph.d because it's not a memoir there's not much detail around that. i'm sure the viewers would like to know a little more story there. how did you meet laura. she and kathy and i consider both of you friends. how did you come to meet her and date her and get married. >> we were just sitting around a mutual friend set up a blind date, it was awkward at first. hi, how are you doing,

phil mattingly with the latest. you've been talking about trump sources and republicans outside the trump circle. how real is this potential alliance between the president-elect and mitt romney? >> yeah, anderson, that exact question is the exact question some iteration of it at least from top mitt romney allies. the reality of what we know is this. they will meet. mark preston broke the story. this is a very important meeting for one primary reason. it sends a signal. i think that more than anything else is what republicans outside the trump orbit are taking from this. obviously mitt romney never came around to donald trump and didn't mince words about the fact. the fact that donald trump would be willing to meet with mitt romney, that mitt romney would be willing to meet with donald trump is a big deal. now, will donald trump be considering him for a cabinet position? that is something we're told is under consideration. mitt romney has made clear to friends in the past, we are told, that secretary of state would be a position he is interested in. now, how serious is that? that is a question we don't currently have the answer to. the thing people are seizing on right now is the signal this is
