is one of maybe about the past five years this we have seen this event go on and i'm here with phil ginsburg the director of the recreation and parks department in san francisco. so overall how do you think this year went? >> not a leave no trace moment out there. i think our staff did great. you know, this is a difficult event to manage because there's no event sponsor. people just show up. and overall our goals were to keep people safe, to protect the park, and to try to do what we could to minimize impact on surrounding neighborhoods. and overall i -- i'm really proud of, um, the folks that were out here yesterday, um, it was an interagency effort, we are grateful to the police, public works and most significantly the men and women parks and rec people out here working until 10 p.m. >> reporter: there was a moment of drama. we have video of a stampede that actually broke out just after 6 p.m. somebody pulled out a gun and thousands of people started running. so that was sort of a -- a -- a dramatic ending to the "celebration," also a separate armed robbery during it. it's very difficult t

i have been getting recovery time in rehab and i heard phil ginsburg talking about coyotes and to say it a little bit more on the subject-matter. there was spotting of coyotes a long time ago and [speaker not understood] -- it's usually the case whether or not you a naturalist? if you are a naturalist and somebody who believes in the natural environment, some people who do believe in such would say, leave the coyotes alone. others who look at the coyotes that make those -- i think they are m860 explosives that they have all over the country and when they did do that, what had happened in the persecution of coyotes, the coyotes spread and went all over the place. so if we have any charting of coyotes per se of general manager ginsburg, what do you do with such information? if you do plot it out, you have to correctly identify the paws on the animal are much narrower, almost like a dogs and they can get cross-bred with dogs. when the coyote is during breeding season it's usually twice a year. what you are going to have to do is post its breeding season -- , as well as your own dog and a
