phil ginsburg. i'm david burke, resident of the buena vista neighborhood. i represent and help lead the buena vista neighborhood association. i'm here with a neighbor and member to let you know how much we support the obligation, general obligation bond, and are committed to doing all we can to get it to the size that meets the needs of the city as park system and its passage. we're also here to let you know how neighbors understand the importance of buena vista parking included in the bond. as many of you know, our fourth largest park in the city, one of our oldest, and really considered a wonderland, a gem, but also recognize that it has needs, significant investment, in our capital. we work closely with rec and parks over the last five years to raise money to support some small- to medium-sized projects, as well as to complete some updated capital improvement planning. so from those plans, it's recognized that the needs are in the tens of millions. we will continue to work with tokes and stacy in part of the assessment in supporting that and help towards

i was able to partner with mayor lee at that time as well as work with phil ginsburg to use accusation dollars to make that purchase. this particular project is in district 10 or else i wouldn't be here. it includes scenic views, waterfront access and, of course, impeccable, beautiful, natural resources. the -- what's unique about this development and many more to come is that it will transform what is a post-industrial brown field into a 21st century park. some people call it a legacy park. it will be a beautiful -- another jewel in the chain of open space that will connect the central and southern waterfront into one contiguous body of open space of clean land that is clean and you all know the history of the southeast part of san francisco when it comes to clean land. it's a premium. there's a unique opportunity to design the properties so india basin becomes a seamless waterfront experience. if you can just imagine from crissy field riding down the embarcadero and south of market, through the mission bay area, through dog patch, down to india basin and bayview. that's the vision th

i just want to note on behalf of the board of supervisors to acknowledge our general manager, phil ginsburg and staff at rec and park, who i just learned recently helped to provide the flowers in our chambers and the mayor's office every single week. so the flowers come from our public gardens, which is a beautiful treat for all of us here at city hall. i also attended flower piano this weekend. it's one of my favorite san francisco events. thank you, all. >> thank you, supervisor.
