the stock is down right now, but phil lebeau has been following not only the outlook for the company of controversy that's now emerging around mr. mulally. phil, what can you tell us? >> well, we'll talk about mr. mulally in just a bit, but i first want to give you the update from ford regarding its outlook for 2014. the company just announcing it plans to add 5,000 u.s. jobs next year. most of those are going to be salaried jobs. but again, 5,000 jobs is the expectation from ford to add next year. we're showing you video right now of a vehicle that ford is actually showing to reporters in dearborn this afternoon. they'll be testing this technology along with state farm insurance and a couple other entities. the bottom line is this. when you look at the data -- and they're showing a split-screen video that was shot ahead of time by the company, in this split-screen video, the company is using lidar sensors mounted on the car to scan the road. now, they're not projecting potential sale date for autonomous drive vehicles, but the whole idea here is they are like everyone else, jumping
