phil mccann, bbc news. as we heard, the time to prepare is running out.e calling this the 11th hour. two points made in that report that are imported to highlight. officials are really worried about that storm surge. up to around 15 feet, four metres. that's around 2.5 times my size. if you think of the ocean water pushing into those areas, low lying areas, and people have homes along the coast, that can be absolutely catastrophic. officials have said that is one of the deadliest aspects of storms in the past. and then also precipitation come up to around 18 inches of rain expected in some areas and that can create flash flooding. that's also water that's incredibly difficult for people trying to drive out of the area, to escape as well. officials are really warning people to be prepared. the florida governor ron desantis held one of his final briefings before hurricane milton makes impact and he talked about the breadth of pre—staging, preparations ahead of time for all the effects of the storm. this is what he said.— effects of the storm. this is what h
