philadelphia, although the smoke is not as dark as had been earlier. it's getting more toward the light gray color as opposed to the dark black color. look at the video. this happened around 4:00 this morning here at juniper and snyder in south philadelphia. this came in as a trash fire. we've been talking to a gentleman who says he was here at the scene, and he saw two men walking inside the building and another on the roof shortly before the building burst into flames. >> a guy with a hoodie enter the building where the fire was. and i seen another gentleman on the roof. then about five minutes later, i seen the guy with the hoodie that i mentioned come running out of the house. and he went east down on snyder avenue ran and about two minutes later as he ran, the whole building -- boom. a huge explosion. you know debris and stuff everywhere. >> reporter: that fire resulted in 17 people now staying with the red cross, displaced by -- from their homes here on snyder avenue. four row homes were burned. smoke damage and water damage. the fire department says over 100 firefighters made sure the flames didn't destroy their homes, just damage
