a chilly, rainy day today for philadelphia, the suburbs and the lehigh valley.eratures only in the low 50s. the steadiest rain this morning and into the afternoon hours. but then as we go into the late afternoon hours, we'll start to see breaks in the rainfall for delaware and new jersey. and at the shore, that onshore flow will keep temperatures very cool and give us a chance of some flooding this evening. but the weekend shows some promise. see the clouds breaking back there? that's going to happen for saturday. today just a rainy one and cool in the 50s. into the 60s saturday. scattered shower possible, especially in the morning. isolated sprinkle in the afternoon. we'll get breaks of sunshine on saturday. then the last bit of wet weather comes through first thing sunday morning on mother's day. and not everybody is going to see it. it's likely stay dry in new jersey, the jersey shore, delaware, a better chance of showers in the lehigh valley, pennsylvania and philadelphia. that's first thing in the morning. we clear out in the afternoon. that's the weekend.

i'm confident that we're going to carry, certainly, philadelphia, as well as the philadelphia suburbsave been trending democratic, but the fact is that in pennsylvania, in the western part of the state, it has increasingly become more republican as the eastern part of the state becomes more democratic. so, last election, for example, obama carried pennsylvania. he carried it by five points, which was the same margin he carried colorado. i think demographically, we're more likely to be a closer race this time around than states where you have a larger, new areas like colorado and virginia. >> so, what do you suppose is behind what's happening in, you know, pennsylvania, especially northeastern and central pennsylvania, known for its deep-rooted coal-mining history. and then it didn't help, did it, hillary clinton's comments on coal mining, which may have turned off a lot of voters, not just in west virginia, where we saw that, you know, during the primary race, but potentially now here in pennsylvania. >> well, part of it is beyond the personalities of the two candidates. we are struct
