in philadelphia. temperatures not doing too badly. 53 in philadelphia. mainly in the 50s. but look at new jersey. the cold spot. we've got the on shore flow, the cold easterly wind. a bit cooler there. we're looking wide here at satellite radar showing us just how big this system is. this is a low pressure system that's actually just setting up over the ohio valley. look at the pool from the gulf. it's stretching all the way down to the gulf and pulling moisture up. so this continue in this fashion moving from the southwest to the northeast bringing the rain as we get closer, we can see that some of it is already come into the area. what's new about the system tonight is that we're seeing the development of it is actually broken apart. so rain in the morning but then we can't be surprised if the rain decides to take a break here or there. heaviest rain still falling early in the morning hours. and then still sustaining all the way through to midday. we could see some breaks in the shower activity. here's what our blue cross broad street run forecast looks like. at 7:00 a.m

look at the temperatures, 92 degrees in philadelphia. south jersey 89. ere is a chance of a thunderstorm in the lehigh valley in the afternoon, just a chance, and cooler at the jersey shore. all the temperatures are lower on sunday. partly because more clouds, partly because of wind off the ocean. the shore is 73. there are chances, increasing chances, the later you go in the day sun, the greater the chance of any kind of rain, and monday, it's pretty likely to see rain just about anywhere, just about any time of the day, and, of course, the temperatures drop as a result. lehigh valley just 79 degrees. the shore only 64 degrees, so there's going to be quite a difference between the beginning and end of the weekend. one isolated shower in chester county. most activity is, well, out in central pennsylvania, and that activity could be affecting us tomorrow. this shower right over the pennsylvania turnpike headed to the chester brook exit, and you can see that we're going to be having some issues with tropical moisture. there's a possible tropical storm devel

looking at the philadelphia museum of art and we had a mostly cloudy start and we have a few late day sunny breaks. we'll look at the highlights across the region, if you look at the temperatures alone. so far today in philadelphia 69 degrees, if you take these numbers and average them out. we see temperatures 8 degrees below average this week so far over the past four days but we are improvement. 33 days away from the first day of summer and 47 days from now we'll be talking about and celebrating the 4th of july. outside this hour, it's 66 in philadelphia, and 59 in lancaster where we are dealing with rain cooled showers and 57 in the poconos and the coast in cape may 59 and satellite 6 along with action radar showing you the sunny breaks along the coastline in south jersey, and off to the west we are tracking the moisture that continues to stream northward through the early evening hours, as a result there are a couple of showers to contend with. 47 in allentown and 52 in dover and cape may with a shower from time to time. we have the troth of low pressure still overhead tomorrow, and we'll start out with a fair amount of clouds giving way to late day sun. to get the numbers

trenton or the lehigh valley, you're looking at milder temperatures because you're not zoo s seeing this type of rain. this is mostly south of philadelphia. so we'll keep it in the forecast. and then we go into tomorrow, we'll see a lot more in the way of sunshine aside from the rain that we have around right now. tomorrow temperatures a little warmer, but this area of rain for cape hey county, even cumberland county across 55 here, that is heavier rain. so we will be watching all of this kind of moving up to the north. so as we go through the rest of the evening, the rain mostly stays south of philadelphia. tomorrow though it will be a a drier day, but then we go into friday and that's when we'll see thunderstorms start to move. and mostly later in the afternoon friday. so we will watch that closely, too. and if you look at your seven day, first half of the weekend has rain in it, but second half we'll see a lot more in the way of sunshine. and temperatures staying in the 60s. so not the entire weekend will we see rain. it's really just going to be the first half, the rain that we're watching right now mostly defined to south jersey and
