kron 4's philippe djegal was there. >> reporter: well, for several years now, the city of san jose haseen mulling over the prospect of bringing body worn cameras to the police department. well, now that dream will become a reality. thursday night, at emanuel baptist church were some 200 people gathered to review their policy in regards to the body worn cameras. they were told the cameras will most likely be on the streets. by the summer, we are talking possibly in july. as the crowd was able to review some of the policies as to how long the video captured will be stored or who will wear the cameras which the police department says hopefully all patrol officers. when they got a thans to review all of the policies, the community members say they appreciate what they were reading and that hopefully, these cameras will bring about accountability to the police department and transparency that will bring the community together. >> it seems that a lot of the officers are really excited about it. it also seems as if they really truly believe it is going to bring about that change that we are h

kron4's philippe djegal shows us where he worked. and how one person who knew him reacted to news of the arrest. sot- "he was a nice guy and he was a pastor of a church and that's why i'm really shocked, you know." the voice of man disturbed by the allegations against his old neighbor fernando maldonado. sot- "he has a little girl, uh, she was about three and he just had a baby when he moved out." the neighbor, who prefered not to share his face or name, says maldonado moved out of this concord townhome on schenone court about nine months ago, after living here for about a year and a half. the 32-year-old suspect was arrested earlier this week by martinez police, after a young girl reported monday that she had been sexually assaulted by maldonado over a span of three years. investigators say the girl was under 14 years of age when this all started. sot- "very nice guy, so i just totally disappointed in the man for doing something like that." investigators have not released how or when maldonado and the victim met. though maldonado is

tonight, kron four's philippe djegal spoke with a licensed therapist. who shares advice on how to approach your child and how to get them through this tough time. sot- "the parents need to act immediately." concord based licensed marriage and family therapist victoria portanier specializes in helping children overcome trauma, and says parents should be extremely sensative to their child's emotions when talking about something as sensative as an alleged molestation, sot- "you immediately let them know that it was not their fault." she says having this talk with your child early on in the investigation may prevent further problems down the road and into adulthood. sot- "what has actually occurred is like, um, an emotional injury." whether or not your child is a victim, at this point, they may still be aware of the allegations against 24-year-old alejandro saro. and, portanier says ignoring the possible impact on your child could be troublesome. sot- "its as if your child had a broken arm and that they did not seek medical attention." in this case, portani

in berkeley, philippe djegal, kron four news. in bay point. the contra costa fire department says it happened around six o'clock last night on lakeview drive. the women are suffering from smoke inhalation. one of them lives in the home.and the other is a neighbor. crews put out the fire at 6-30 p-m. just a little more than the exterior of the house remains. the cause of the fire is still under investigation. more bay area news: caltrain service returning to normal this morning. that's after a person was hit and killed by a train. it happened near center street in milbrae at about 10:00 last night. all southbound trains were stopped for the investigation. this is the third time this year someone has been hit and killed on caltrain tracks. in southern california. a woman is dead after this small plane crashed into the car she was in on a freeway. the pilot and his passenger, along with four people inside the car were injured during the emergency landing. it happened yesterday on a stretch of interstate-15 near san diego. the plane
