shavonne phillips' body was found stuffed in a duffle bag in fort washington creek last month. john hanrahan has the update. >> reporter: when 22-year-old shavonne phillips went missing on july 30th after dropping her younger daughter at a child care center, some of her neighbors at the bening park apartments project in southeast washington knew right away something was terribly wrong. >> my daughter woke me up and said shavonne was missing. there was a hot feeling. i jumped up and i was, like, that can't be true. that's not her, just to up and leave like that. >> reporter: shavonne phillips' body, encased in two bags, was discovered a couple of days later in swancreek in the fort washington section of prince george's county. it was homicide by asphyxiation, according to the medical examiner. the young woman's apartment in southeast washington was apparently broken into and ransacked around the time of her disappearance. detectives in prince george's county have arrested 31-year-old joseph f jones of mountain lake place in capital heights. investigators believe he was an acquai
