let's bring in clinton surrogate, also the mayor of miami beach, phillip levine. thank you for being here. how do you like being the mayor in a state that is so important? >> we always are. >> you always are. let's talk about the polling. let's pull these up, guys. here is what the florida polls are telling us now. there are a few different ones. this one from the "new york times" and also this one that shows it as a dead heat. clinton is trailing by one percentage point, within the margin of error. two things at play here. the retirees, the geseniors are increasingly leaning right and helping donald trump because they come out and vote in big numbers. the latino population in florida, especially puerto ricans, is helping hillary clinton. what tells you she'll be helped more than him? >> first of all, florida has always been close. you eluded to it and, of course, the 2000 election. 2012, i think president obama won by less than 100,000 votes. what's happening now though, what we're seeing in the early turnout numbers, the early voting, the democrats are surpassin
