summer on record for all of this territory, including some spots that are already pretty hot like phoenix and las vegas. when those locations are experiencing record heat, you know something is out of whack. temperatures today were hot again inland, but retreating to the upper 80s now in santa rosa and san jose, still 101 in fairfield, 96 degrees now in concord, 65 in san francisco and 61 along the coast in half moon bay. tomorrow temperatures are much closer to normal even inland, about 5 or 6 degrees above average, but reasonable for this time of year. it means the heat risk will drop a few categories for the hottest spots around antioch and brentwood today, the heat risk in the high and bordering on the very high category, but saturday and sunday it's going to be in the moderate category, some improvement in store. it looks like the normal temperatures will stick around a while. got the seven-day forecast coming up in a few minutes. >> paul, thank you. >>> in san francisco a pane of glass plummeted on of a downtown high rise this morning. city officials say the glass fell as it was bei
