ktvu's brian flores is live on pierce and chestnut with an update on the investigation.morning brian. >> reporter: good morning, yeah, that suspect is currently recovering at san francisco general hospital by being shot at at least once by sfpd. i did get off the point where they said, at this point at this hour, no new information, they are continuing to investigate. we are hoping to get ideas of the suspect and victim later on today. this happened at 12:30 yesterday afternoon. two men were involved in some type of fight when police say the suspect who's only described as a latino man allegedly pistol whipped and fired several shots at another man in front of the atm at the bank of america on pierce and chestnut here in the marina district. soon after that, both men ran off. the victim ran into some type of blue car while the suspect ran and hid in some bushes a few blocks away. now, police were approaching the bushes and the suspect emerged and pointed the gun at officers and they opened fire, hitting the suspect at least once, we understand the suspect did not return
