pierre megaron gustavo and the lower merchant neighbors association. this is a great example of community pulling together. in the business that he is a partner to across the street from the three-story building that burned down and displaced 24 residents was across the street. he heard a loud bang. it went to the building itself. gustavo was a painter who happens to have a key and both of them went inside the building, knocking on doors. i think people thought that they were crazy solicitors. they kept at it persistently to get people out to evacuate them out of the building. they were successful, i think, because no lives were injured. no animals ha were injured or lost. what we saw, pretty amazing the way the damage was contained. it couldn't have been a more proud moment in the way the community pull together. i like to bring up gustavo.
