this is rockville pike behind me. i want to show you something that is going to cause problems tomorrow morning. this piled up mounded snow. you can see it obscures a driver's line of sight when they're pulling out on to the main roads. i can also tell you many, many residential streets remain unplowed this hour. even the most snow worthy suv couldn't handle the unplowed intersection at the corner of old georgetown road and bethesda. worsened after it started snowing again this evening. after shoveling the heavy, soggy snow, this driver, a physician who had to go to work today, was finally on his way home. >> i ended up dropping off at the store to pick up flowers for my wife. i didn't want to forget about valentine's day. >> go, go, go! >> reporter: moments later, another suv got stuck in the same spot. >> the main roads are fine. these roads are a joke. >> reporter: after a friend did some shoveling, this driver was also able to clear the mounded snow. removing the snowbanks that are now encroaching on to the lanes
