let's check in with cynthia pimentel for a look at our microclimate forecast. hey, cynthia, good morning kira. good morning everyone. we're starting off a bit cooler this morning with the lack of that cloud cover compared to yesterday, 49 in walnut creek. we're seeing the sunrise there. calm winds right now. yesterday was definitely gusty at times through the city. temperatures right there, 50 degrees and the winds still calm out there at about five miles an hour out of the west san jose. we're looking at a few patchy clouds out there towards the foothills and the calm wind speeds. as we do talk about some more temperatures here. it's cooler up in the north bay, 43 in santa rosa and napa, and we've got 47 for you in oakland and 44 in sunnyvale. those wind speeds as i mentioned, are still pretty calm. san mateo and half moon bay are starting to climb into those teens at this hour. and as we go on into this afternoon, it's going to get gusty once again. so i'll guide you through these hour by hour wind gusts and what's ahead. and next week we're talking warmer te

just in time for the morning commute, but we still have one more day of the weekend, so cynthia pimenteleveryone. we saw in that video some beautiful skies over the north bay. and that should continue today along with those breezy winds. we start with a beautiful sunrise over the golden gate bridge. marin county. temperatures 51 degrees. so not too bad. slightly warmer than what we were waking up to yesterday. out in walnut creek. also a nice shot over the diablo range there. temperatures at 52 with some calm winds and san jose out towards mount amana. we're looking at some really pretty shots around the bay area this morning. really glad about that. as we go on into the north bay, we wake up with temperatures in 50 degrees in san rafael and our winds at this hour are still fairly calm, a little bit from the north. some are scattered through the west, but we start to go out to parts of the peninsula, san francisco, san mateo and half moon bay starting to climb into those wind speeds in the teens. so it's going to be another breezy day as we wrap up the weekend here. so some of your headl

. >>> we're going to turn now to the forecast and cinthia pimentel. how is it looking out there?ound california, kira. we're having mountain snow up towards the northern part of the state and parts of the sierra. that rain continues to come on land bringing more moisture than we want on this sunday morning. if i zoom on in and give us a closer look of the bay area, spotty showers through the city, the peninsula. we're really heavy through parts of the santa cruz mountains. as you are driving along highway 17 through the lexington reservoir, you'll be met with more of that heavy rainfall along highway 1 in santa cruz and to the west out there towards here. as we look at our temperature, it's cooler with that absence of all the moisture and the clouds we had yesterday morning. some spots in the low 40s. 50 in santa mayo. san jose with a few sprinkles, but we will start to dry out through the rest of the week. we'll talk about the full forecast coming up at 7:00. >> cinthia, see you at 7. also coming up at 7:00 this morning on "today in the bay," a local artist says he's been ripped

. >>> we want to check in with cinthia pimentel. the crash is going to cause some headaches.rned big rig out there. >> and that traffic is stretching back to 238. that's where that crash was yesterday. that one involved the gas leak, too. this one, we just have to get a lot of heavy duty trucks to pick up both of those big rigs. the alternates that i can give you, the workarounds are to continue on 238, make your way down to industrial parkway in union city, and then go back up 880 or south. take the dumbarton bridge if you want to avoid the scene altogether. traffic is stretching back to kaiser at times. i have another crash southbound 880 in oakland, this is at the 10th avenue on-ramp. the number four lane is blocked. the details were a tesla hit a semi truck. a lot of issues this morning involving bigger trucks. this one in richmond, san pablo avenue off-ramp, the eastbound direction of 80, there was a car that got into it with a semi truck. you can take cutting boulevard and connect back to 580 if you're going west onto the bridge. back to you. >> we'll continue to monito
