an officer is shot following a bank robbery and gun battle this pinole. chopper 5 is live over the wells fargo bank just off fitzgerald drive. traffic a mess. paramedics treated a number of victims at the bank. this just after 9:30 this morning. here's what we know. one suspect is dead and a pinole police officer and security guard are injured. anne makovec is live outside the bank where the investigation shut down city streets. good afternoon. >> reporter: a lot is unclear right now, grace, as to who shot whom. but according to police it looks like four people total were shot, the suspect dead. chopper 5 high above the scene in pinole a shopping center, target and wells fargo bank in it where this robbery occurred in the parking lot according to police. they weren't trying rob the bank. they were trying to rob an armored car outside in the parking lot of the bank off fitzgerald here in pinole around 9:30. the timeline though is very confusing to police right now again as well as to who shot who. here's what one witness described to us from what he saw. >

it began around 9:00 this morning outside of wells fargo in pinole. a security guard got into a shootout with a pair of would be robbers. police arrived and a second shootout broke out and a suspect was killed. >> i heard shots go off. there was a guy running down street with a bag of money. i saw him collapse. he fell and never moved again. >> police say a second robber got waichl they shut down much of fitzgerald drive. now that man later turned up in a hospital with a gunshot wound. and officer was hurt. >> my understanding is that it was one shot that our officer took to the shoulder he's been transported to the hospital and being treated. >> the security guard is also being treated for a gunshot wound. she was in surgery. >> and new test results from a 10-year-old murder mystery of janine harms link aid prime suspect to the murder. her body has never been found. the district attorney today confirmed that fibers from a rug in her home matched those found in a vehicle owned by maurice nasmay. they believed he killed harms. this is the second round
