shooting.o get to pittsburg. >> reporter: pittsburg police confirmed an officer wast compl pittsburg. the stoneman apartment complex not far from highway 4:00 happened around 9:20 last night. the pittsburg police -- >> we are having trouble with bob's mike there but it happened at the stone apartment complex on loveridge road not far from highway 4. pittsburg police and sheriff's office team are on location processing the scene. they're awaiting the coroner to arrive there. according to an officer on the scene the person shot was found laying down near a top set of stairs, not moving, with a gun in their hand. police flew in a drone to confirm the person was no longer a threat and it was safe for paramedics to move in. the district attorney's office sent out an investigator, which is normal, of course, when there is an officer involved in a shooting. again they don't know what led up to this but police indicated they'd release more information in the coming hours. you saw our own bob redell there as well gathering more information. we'll check in with him a little later in this newsca

this happened last night near the railroad avenue exit in pittsburg. it seems to have stemmed from road rage c p.m. says. this is the third shooting on the same stretch of highway in just a week. last thursday, a man was shot in the neck while driving along the railroad avenue off ramp from eastbound highway 4. troopers believe the shooting was not random. and here was the scene last friday. you can see this red car riddled with bullets. it was shot on both sides and this happened at the bailey road off ramp. the police say the victim is a man in his 20s and so far no word on his condition. or what led up to that shooting. >>> all four of the ex- minneapolis police officers involved in the death of george floyd are now facing federal charges. three of the former cops were indicted today. former officer derek chauvin was also indicted but he's already in jail awaiting sentencing for murder in the state trial. they are all facing federal charges for failing to render medical aid to floyd. >>> the u.s. economy still has more than 8 million fewer jobs now
