macy's at monroeville mall east of pittsburgh. randy gyllenhaal has more on this breaking news story. >> three people shot inside this mall just east of pittsburgh. according to witnesses, they say the shooting happened outside of the macy's department store tonight. multiple gunshots were heard. shoppers took off running to the parking lot. at least two victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition. a third person was injured. police had to lock down the hospital until the suspected shooter was caught. at a news conference police said this was not random. it was a targeted shooting and two of the victims were innocent bystanders. they have a person of interest in mind. witnesses say they frantically ran out of that macy's store for help. >> people started running. someone has a gun or shooting something like that. we started hearing sirens police cars started showing up. >> this same mall was the scene of a massive fight, a brawl breaking out in december. hundreds of teenagers involved. police say it started on social

as it comes close to pittsburgh, you can see there are some light snow showers here and the concern is not so much accumulation fairly light and maybe a coating or half inch or so. it could come down in a hurry if you are driving around and a coating on the road surface could make things slick. if you see snow slow it down and take it seriously. tonight's low is 13 that is well below average, over the next 24 hours we drop from the highs in the 30s to teens on thursday and friday and the average high is 25 degrees but we'll be nowhere near that. windchills too and the worst is thursday evening into friday morning and right now a windchill watch in the poconos and lehigh valley during that time period it could go as low as 25 below zero and there is talk that there may be an advisory down in this area thursday evening into friday. when i come back i'll show you the snow showers and the timing of that on future tracker 6 and another round of precipitation for the weekend. >> any why news, just asking you? >> get back to me in april. >>> meanwhile the coast guard is on a mission to break

pittsburgh is sitting at 25, 26 give or take. that is going to be charging south and east over the next 24 to 48 hours. we'll go a little bit wider, the other thing we'll notice over the next few days it's a nice, quiet weather pattern. this is kind of bully the pattern. this huge dome of cold air will set up across the lower 48. that means this area of low pressure, because airports when you see moisture down -- a lot of times when you see moisture down here, this is where the big storms come from. this dome pushes east and pushes the storm east and out to sea. that will not come up and we'll not have to worry about a big storm over the next couple of days. this is the heart of tornado alley out hear. this partly of the country will see the snow. northern arkansas and louisiana will deal with snow and freezing rain and ice. that will be a mess for those folks out there. for us, nice and quiet. 9:00 p.m. partly cloudy skies. partly cloudy skies tomorrow morning and mostly sunny tomorrow afternoon, just quite a bit colder. these w

three people were shot at a mall just outside of pittsburgh. and police say they are still searching for a suspect or suspects at this point. the shooting happened at about 8:30 tonight empty monroeville mall. a police source tells our sister station kdka in pittsburgh the gunfire was the result of a gang fight and that there were multiple shooters involved. now the victims were rush to the hospital. two are said to be in critical condition. the third is in serious condition at this hour. >>> and new tonight, it is a serious crime. police are working to track down prankster calling 911 and filing false reports in montgomery county. police were called to the 100 block of school street in bala cynwyd for a report of a shooting about 7:00 o'clock this evening. officers arrived but determined that the shooting was just a hoax. it was the second hoax in bala cynwyd today. similar pranks have occurred across the nation straining police row sources. under pennsylvania law false reporting carries a penalty of up to two years in prison and a $5,000 fine
