"eyewitness news" reporter greg argos at the scene in pittstown with more. greg?> reporter: erika, good afternoon, really is an incredible scene, here in pit town, new jersey, our nation's bird perched up there in the tree. you can see right now, just sort of relaxing, it's been here for at least the past few days, told by the homeowner they spotted it around 9:00 a.m. on monday. and that's when they heard chickens from a neighbor's yard, they have a chicken coup here, that's when the chicken started making a russell, they realized something was up in the tree. actually joined hereby the homeowner, courtney heat, and courtney, when you first spotted this bird, it was pretty exciting, wasn't it? >> it was, yes. i pulled in the driveway around 2:00 p.m. on monday. my neighbor came over and she actually told me her chickens that morning had alerted her, so at that point we thought it was really cool to have our nation's bird in our tree, and -- >> but then the next day you realize something was wrong, the next day, we shod mention this eagle is perched up here, been
