this is a very humbling experience for what used to be a small town boy from plainville, kan..appened to be a kid who liked politics and what i read in history and biography and that cost the to have an interest in our country. no one would ever look at my background and think i would grow and have a chance to be a united states senator from the state of kansas. i am humbled by the opportunity i have given. -- i have been given for it i will never forget how i got here and always remain true to people here tonight who express their will and the voters across our state to make a decision about the direction our country should go. i want to tell you that i started the midday in my home town of plainville, i started the day with myself at the altar on my knees and ask for god's blessing and guidance and direction and with ever came about today would be fine with me because god's will and my life is important to [applause] -- his. important -- is important.
