>>vanessa: we'll start a traffic report with a big shutdown out of plant city, dover area. these pictures are live. this is sky fox checking out the intersection of forbes road and mlk and that's where traffic is northbound and southbound so that traffic appears to be unaffected. but it's the eastbound, westbound drivers stopped at the intersection and of course, just east of here is where the actual shooting scene is taking place. looks like some emergency crews are still showing up and investigators so they're letting those folks pass. this is a look at the scene itself. it appears to involve two vehicles from what we're able to tell and we do know that this is a fatal shooting scene. ml work arounds, u.s. 92 and sydney road. as far as the delays in the area, we are starting to see traffic stack up in the area of turkey creek road so northbound-southbound where drivers are being detoured off and u.s. 92 that's one of the main work arounds. if you do plan on taking 92, keep in mind you'll be jammed up in the westbound direction. so far sydney road looks good. pinellas park

on i-4 because again we have a through plant city. you might want to consider u.s. 92, that doesn't slow down until you get closer to macintosh. either way just give yourself extra time there. let's check the drive across the bay. only 13 minutes to get across the howard frankland, not bad, that is pretty average for this time of morning. 12 minutes across the courtney campbell, 11 minutes to across the gandy. >>> it's already feeling like 94 in tampa. 95 clearwater. of course that is the humidity, with the feels-like temperature as far as the actual air temperature, still climbing but it's going to be a very hot day today with feels-like temperatures about 100 to 105 this afternoon. we'll do that with limited storm coverage. not zero but not 20% with plenty of sunshine early. then you see the futurecast getting going, by the time we get to -- goodness, there's not much there. so it's dry up above and so that is going to limit rain chances just a bit. i think we'll get back to it way it's going to go, for highs, the actual temperature

currently 79 degrees in plant city. weeki wachee, 76. 79 in tampa. and in bradenton. mostly sunny but yes, muggy this morning. and what's happening generally an east wind today which means the rain starts on the east coast. and pushes itself through polk county and hillsborough county and over toward the coast by the evening. and everything clears out overnight. and we do it again tomorrow. typical 40% chance of storms starting in inland areas and pushing towards the coast. what you would expect this time of year. maybe hotter but the pattern is the same. the thing that may throw a fly in the ointment is invest 99l. the long-term track takes it up florida's east coast or into the gulf of mexico but it may at least bring higher rain chances. right now, about a 50% chance for ay and the change based on the destination of invest 99l. >>> a look at pasco county. still with an accident working here but not seeing delays so that's good news. eastbound on state road 52 right underneath 75. and this is the exit that takes to you dade city. that accident in the area. and just

and we touched 90 in plant city. 90 in venice. 88 in clearwater and tampa. in fact, inland areas, quite strong, 18 miles per hour gusts here in lakeland. and again, that northeast wind bringing in the showers from the east coast. no place will get rain for very long. you might get near a shower but it's going to push toward the coast during the evening and then out into the gulf of mexico. and in fact, tomorrow's forecast is very similar. what happens after tomorrow, well, it will depend on what happens to in9l. notice what we do know the system heads toward the bahamas and then eventually towards southern florida. after that though, where it goes is more in question. i expect it to stay relatively weak and barely develop in the next two days and once it does make it past the bahamas, it's in an area where it could strengthen. and that's something we will pay attention to because a lot of models take it into the gulf of mexico. and if it's close enough, it would increase our rain through the saturday up to about 50% chance for sunday and monday. and that may
