yesterday the community gathered here at platte canyon community church. obviously a lot of emotion. still very raw. a lot of hugs, a lot of prayers. some faith leaders were on hand. this is a small community, under 9,000 people, many of the people we spoke to say they knew or know of many of the law enforcement around here in this area, as you can imagine, with it being such a small tight knit community and with carrigan playing such an active role. we spoke to some community members. >> he was just doing his job. >> you couldn't ask for better. we have great deputies up here. >> he's with the right person right now, he's with god. >> reporter: i asked members -- community to leave their porch lights on in honor of the three deputies. one released from the hospital, the other still recovering from the hospital. we are also told grief counseloos will be made available at platte canyon high school today. again, that's where the deputy was a coach. he also went to that school and was a wrestler, a long time community member, definitely gone too soon. we'll c

they were responding to the same ll when they collided on platt springs road. our mike desumma joins us now with more. mike. lexington county sheriff's department say they've received an outpouring of support from the community since last night. you can imagine for officers there it had to be a long series of hours following this crash. the good news we've been able to report today is all three deputies involved suffered injuries that were non life threatening. according to the department two of the officers are already out of the hospital. reports that first came in last night where that both cruisers were responding to a burglary in lexington -- when they crashed near the intersection of platt springs and old orangeburg roads. several people who live right near that location said they noise sounded like a bomb going off. many went outside and said they couldn't believe the images they saw. "i heard two people yelling but on the passenger side he was saying 'help me'..but the driver he was like 'help me! help me!...and i mean it was stuff all in the road and i
