and then over at the bay bridge toll plaza, let me take a look at the other camera at the toll plaza, this is interesting. the traffic all jammed up on 580 and 24 coming into the maze, results in the feeder off of the maze, not a big deal. all the traffic you see on this shot is coming off of 880 as folks are flowing out of oakland. even though that is the case at the bay bridge, i would say use 880 instead of 580. 880 feeding in off of the curve and off of grand avenue, where there's more surface street traffic, that's moving smoothly, even though there's a bit of a backup for those particular lanes. off the berkeley curve, there's the distraction because you see the slowing, and also 24 and 580 westbound bogged down because of all of those folks funneling down to one lane as the lanes combine. we still have the investigation that has to be completed at that scene, at the maze for west 580. everything else throughout contra costa county, alameda county, and even in the north bay, everything is holding pretty standard except for that one spot, that one section approaching the maze its

so here's what we do know. 930 last night, there was a shooting in holiday plaza.za that's at the bottom of the escalators, right next to the entrance to the powell street bart station and right across from the cable car turnaround. we don't know what prompted the shooting or how many people were involved, but san francisco police say when they arrived, they found one person who'd been shot more than once, even though medics tried to help. the person died from those gunshot wounds there at the scene. we don't know anything about the victim. if it was a man or a woman. police did not tell us about any arrests or any possible motives or suspect descriptions. homicide detectives closed off the plaza and the entrance to the powell street bart station shortly after this happened. at 930 last night, although trains did continue to run through powell station and service was back to normal again. later in the evening and again this morning. the station has reopened, so we're hoping and waiting for more information and more details from san francisco police on this homicide
