will not talk about a weather forecast as we take a live look outside towards the east bay at the bay bridge toll plaza as much sunnier in london and is at the coast. and that's keeping us cool and our meteorologist mabrisa rodriguez is here now with a look at the forecast. >> hey there, just to let's take a look at our drop monitor holding steady for us in the bay area still under extreme conditions about 8%. worse, though, for the state of california just because of our dry or wet seasons. we've had 2 years in a row and also the lack of monsoons during the summer months has actually worsened areas of northwestern of added the northeast portion of california in 2 exceptional drought, which is that maroon ish purple color that we're seeing. that's the driest category in this drought monitor. and for us in the bay area not far behind that at all. let's take a look at current conditions out there right now seeing some patches of blue sky overhead, but still tracking a very dry and cool outlook for your thursday afternoon about double digit warming for fairfield and livermore seeing the biggest drop in te

about our weather now as we take a live look over the bay bridge toll plaza light traffic and lots of sunshine out there in the east bay. but temperatures staying pretty close to normal for this time of year. kron 4 meteorologist dave spahr has our forecast faith. well, so now has been a little bit of a recovery effort going on today to complement that sun that we have doing its thing was covered up by all the cloud cover that you saw. here's a look at what the traffic is like. >> at to walnut creek check in the bay area temperatures. they've improved all because of this inland. we're in the upper 70's. some lower 80's around the perimeter of the bay that's been hanging in the 60's. but that's on shore when you're pretty much expect that this is how we stand now with the winds getting up to the 20's. this is pri wind advisories own wait for another 24 hours before that kicks into effect. a look at what it looks like to this evening, 62 by 7 by 1053 winds sometimes work at reducing the time it takes in terms of the temperatures dropping and sometimes you need to still air and dry air to get temperatures to fall more

east of the bay bridge. so right at the toll plaza, the air on that could potentially be slowing us down the air. also a high wind advisory in place. it's also pretty slow. a long 5, 1880. so it's backed up at least i'm looking past berkeley in terms of slower traffic. there as you head into the city once he finally reached the maze of take a little under 15 minutes to make that drive. let's head over. look at the san mateo bridge in across towards the peninsula there. little under 11 minutes for the drive time we have any major accidents. again, we've been seeing a lot of traffic at the bay bridge over the past couple of weeks. looks like traffic is getting back to normal head over getting a look at the golden gate bridge and into the city where there's a fog advisory in place and a high wind advisory. so drive, say 20 minutes and looking at your richmond, sandra fell commute as you head out of richmond under 11 minutes. so we'll have more on that coming up next. but for now, james, let's go back to the news. >> and time to talk winners and losers on wall street with financial expert rob black j

plaza. the bay area bridges are quiet. it's an easy ride out of the east bay into san francisco. not seeing any brake lights or issues there. if you are going in to the city traffic is pretty quiet. a live look at the golden gate. things foggy there this morning. let's get a look at the forecast. it's 5:19. there were strange clouds yesterday. >> a lot of viewers sending us these really cool photographs of some unusual clouds over especially parts of the north bay and the central valley. this is one of our amazing viewers who sent this in and took a picture of the clouds. these are lenticular clouds. a really cool site. they are associated with waves in the atmosphere that develop when relatively stable fast moving air is force up and over a barrier like a mountain that is more or less perpendicular to where the upper level wind is blowing. our photograph journalist took these photographs of the clouds as well yesterday. so, a very cool sight. it's not that common in the bay area to see it. always neat to see that. we are starting off the day with that fog and you can see on the
