pleasanton employees are working with instagram to track a predator that's targeting schoolchildren. christie smith joins me from alameda county. >> reporter: certainly disturbing for the students involved, but also the parent who is spend so much time trying to keep up with all the changes on social media, to find out that someone has been soliciting the students in pleasanton, trying to get inappropriate photos of them posted on instagram. now, that's a popular social media app, particularly among young people, where they can share photos. some students came forward to administrators and the pleasanton unified school district sent home a social media warning to let parents know that this user was trying to exchange explicit photos with some students. now, the district says it appears that this solicitation did come from outside the area. they're not saying the age or the number of students that were contacted, but they did provide information on internet safety, in that letter that went home, and also encouraged parents to talk with their kids about this. things they should and sho
