cnn's frederik pleitgen is right in the middle of it all. fred, if you can hear me, tell us what you're seeing. hi there, john. well in the last couple of minutes, things have actually kicked off here in paris. we saw some clashes happening between the riot police here, and some of the protesters still only very small part of the protest in very small part of the protest itself. it certainly seems the most of it is still very peaceful. however we did see some big clashes going on here a couple of minutes ago with the cops deploying tear gas, even beating some of the protesters as well, charging the crowd. where is the protesters that answered that by throwing bottles and rocks at the cops, so that is something that's going on. if you look at the scene right now, it is still pretty tense around here. we're sort of in an area right now. that's between two layers of police. they've sort of gone back a little bit. but there is a lot of tension in the area, and as you can see, there's still some bangs that are going off as well. so certainly this

fred pleitgen. thank you so much. the pentagon is now investigating apparent leak of classified u. and nato military information about ukraine. attention is now turning on how these documents were uploaded to social media. cnn's natasha bertrand has new reporting on all of this, natasha, what are you learning? yes, fredricka. so the pentagon says that it is aware of these social media reports that appear to show these classified documents that came from the u. s. and nato that detail information about us training and us equipment being provided to the ukrainians in advance of their counter offensive there. now it is not clear at this point. how many of these documents have been released online and the pentagon has not given us any more indication on how these documents actually ended up there. that is part of what they're looking at right now. but look one of the things that they are telling. telling us is that they are cautioning that some of these documents while largely authentic, we are told, do appear to have been doctored in one such document that was reviewed by cnn. for exa

let's first go to cnn's fred pleitgen live near the gaza strip. fred what more do we know about what the israeli defense forces struck this morning? either fredricka when they say that they struck several targets inside the gaza strip, a lot of them being tunnels but then also what they call research and development facilities from hamas from the militant group but obviously controls the gaza strip. obviously the israelis are saying that in some cases, hamas is actually building rockets there that are then fired towards israel, and you mentioned the fact that overnight there were also a lot of rockets that came from gaza towards israeli territory. the israelis managing to intercept a lot of those rockets, some of them landed in open fields, but one actually did land account town called the road, which is also right near where i am right now on the edge of the gaza strip as well. nevertheless you're also absolutely frederico that the israeli defense forces spokesman told me israel wants to de escalate the situation here is what he said. we want to
