we are in plymouth mass. the wave action here in the bay has been huge. some of it splashed over to the parking lot. the wind a little different with this blizzard. it's a little offshore so we're not seeing it run up to the area. back in january with the blizzard the water actually came right up through here and ran right into this area. the deal with this storm, it's the snow the intensity and the wind. we've got winds already gusted at 50 miles per hour. we've had all sorts of records just continue to be shattered in the boston area. i guess a little bit of a saving grace is sunday as opposed to monday morning, for a rush hour. another day where mbta is shut down hundreds of airline cancellations. even when it stops snowing, you can see the intensity of the snow creates the visibility below zero. this time tomorrow morning, the wind chills will be 20 to 25 below. even when it's not snowing, relentless cold follows each storm. another one for mid-week next week. will it ever end? we're going to have to wait and see here in boston. we are now number thre

the adams lived on their plymouth avenue home. i'm sorry i never had the opportunity to meet her in person. but within a week of the couple moving senior residence in san mateo. ms. adams died. today i would like to remember ms. adams. the second person who passed away in december and because of breaks and everything else i couldn't get this together, that is laura eli. she was born in china january 7, 1933, and second child and only daughter in her family. her father emigrated in 1921 where he worked as a cook and later opened a restaurant. in 1949 she and her brother joined her father in san francisco. her mother and young brother followed suit in 1952. i didn't realize the connection but alex was a classmate of mine in school. he she had very little schooling. thanks to a large part to pair tutoring from chinatown youth club where she met the man she eventually married and the late historian and former long life friend. outgoing and up beat laurel enjoyed drama and good food especially when shared with friends all of whom share

reporting live in plymouth township deanna durante, nbc10. >>> our team koevenlg coverage of this story continues from texas where the plane made its emergency landing. mark boyle from nbc station in houston joins us now. what is the situation there tonight? >> reporter: right now faa investigators and investigators from here in houston are aboard that aircraft. you can see them right above the entrance there. they've been here for several hours this afternoon. here are some video of that plane with its nose on the ground after it made the emergency landing in houston around 9:18 local time. investigators tell us a total of 64 paengsing. the plane made three different circles around the airport. the pilot was telling air traffic controllers he wanted to bring the plane as low as possible so crews on the ground could get a good look to see if, in fact, that nose dear was down. it wasn't so when that pilot finally brought the plane down around 10:00 local time emergency crews were on the ground. the emergency slides were deployed. and everyone on board, all 56 people, jumped out to safety
