penndot says the plans to rebuild the bridge over plymouth creek on plymouth road in montgomery county are fast tracked but because the area sits mainly on limestone the bridge has to be demolished and rebuilt. plans call for the road to' open august 3 1st. if not, penndot says the contractor will face fines of $20,000 a day. many who live near the bridge voiced their concerns about the construction process. >> i really am very happy that the residents who live right next to this bridge came out and will work alongside them and make sure that their concerns are addressed. >> residents in the area say they worry about construction noise and traffic. penndot says workers will work six days a week and ten hours a day to get the road open by the august 31st deadline. >>> new at 6:00 cumberland county, vineland police want your help finding an armed robber. this new surveillance video shows a man using a large kitchen knife to hold up the j&j news agency tuesday night. it shows the suspect going behind the counter and taking cash. no one was hurt here. >>> a judge denied a motion to downgra

live in plymouth meeting, montgomery county. jesse gary nbc 10 news. >>> also new from overnight, police have a suspect in custody in connection with a shooting in west philadelphia. nbc 10 was on the scene on hoopes street after shots were fired around 10:30 this morning. one man was shot in the chest and went to the hospital in critical condition. >>> we have some new information about a police chase that crossed state lines from delaware into pennsylvania. overnight, we learned that this all started when officers on routine patrol found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds. they discovered that the two victims on monroe street in wilmington just after 6:00 last night. the man is in critical but stable condition. the woman is stable. while at the scene, officers saw a car take off. a police chase ensued and ended with a crash in folsom delaware county. >> they crashed here at the intersection. >> exactly. and the two suspects one went down fairview and one went down that way and they caught him on foot in front of raymore and

it ended seven miles away in plymouth meeting where the motorcycle crashed. nbc 10's jesse gary is live at the scene of that wreck with more on the suspect. jesse? >> reporter: the suspect is in the hospital right now with nonlife-threatening injuries. the real question is why he sped off in the first place. the crash ended at the intersection of germantown pike and chemical road. first responders were on scene shortly thereafter rendering aid to the motorcyclist who crashed down an embankment in a business park development. the unidentified man originally entered the blue route at ridge pike and turned on to chemical road. he sped east on chemical until he lost control and crashed, trying to escape the produce in a business mark. he's at the hospital right now, in custody, nonlife-threatening injuries. and state police trying to answer the question of why did he decide to take off and run from them when they originally caught him speeding on roosevelt boulevard and lead them on this seven-mile chase. live in plymouth meeting, montgomery county. >>> nbc 10 wa

it ended seven miles later in plymouth meeting, where the motorcycle rider crashed into a ravine.ergency crews rushed that man to the hospital overnight. he is expected to be okay. according to troorps, they tried to pull him over for speeding but he kept going and crashed in plymouth meeting. police say they planned on charging him with fleeing and eluding officers. now to some new information about a shooting and police chase that led officers from delaware to pennsylvania. the pursuit began at second and monroe streets in wilmington where two people were shot last night. it continued on to i-95 ending in delaware county on fairview road in folsom. overnight, we learned that it all began when officers on rue tone parole in wilmington found the man and the woman with gunshots. the man is in critical but stable condition. the woman is stable. while at the scene, officers saw a car take off and the chase was on. it ended with that crash in folsom. there police took two men into custody. there's no word yet on exactly what charges they will face. >>> one person was killed after gett
