our western suburbs will be a concern and same thing for the poconos and lehigh valley and you can seea chance of wind gusts at 50 miles per hour and thunderstorms strong enough to produce hail and heavy downpours leading to flooding and allentown stretching down to douglas out to lancaster county and all of the areas highlighted in yellow have the best chance to see the severe thunderstorm and the rest of the area have the rest of the chance of seeing thunderstorm activity as we head into the rest of the afternoon and into the evening. most of the weather disturbance is far out to the west and it's slowly going to track to the east towards us and we'll see warmer air and more moisture coming up from the south and that will give us our thunderstorms heading into the afternoon. earlier this morning we saw a few passing showers and now they pretty much pushed offshore and out of the area and as we head into the rest of today we continue to see the clouds building and by 3:00 p.m. that's when the storms will arrive close to the area and i'll show you the future weather mainly outside of o

in the poconos. allentown, 55 56 in westchester. so you notice the temperatures are similar due to that wind direction. 58 in atlantic city. and temperatures in dover at 59 degrees. we're then tracking the temperatures closely. yesterday at 70 degrees. today, 65. and 73 and then by saturday we go into the high 70s. the average for this time of year is 79 degrees. so we're slowly getting back to average. the radar shot shows us a little to the south of us. we'll see a little more moving in and for new castle county we're seeing a few scattered showers but in the past few hours these showers have moved to the north and moving through wilmington at this time. and the showers heading into the rest of the morning hours, 8:00 9:00 in the morning, still dealing with a chance of stray showers. once again, towards the evening, more of those little stray showers will move up. temperatures today will stay on the chilly side. that means if you're heading out to the game tonight, we'll see cooler condition. we'll see a wind at 10 miles an hour.

"action news" reporter, john rawlins is live at the scene with more. >> reporter: hi sara this mishap occurred at 9:30 this morning, the penn crew were brought in to take down a diseased tree and they brought in heavy equipment including a crane and bucket truck, the crane tipped over at one point despite it had deployed its out riggers and injured a worker and he is transported to the hospital and was responsive and talking at the time but we don't know the extent of the injuries, no staff or teachers were in the area, they were not near harms way. right now the job is for inspectors to decide what went wrong here and then they

pocono region chopper 6 hd over the scene of this horrific crash. we learn that two tractor trailers involved along with a charter bus here. one of the tractor trailers we know crossed the median and hit that charter bus head-on, this happened just after 10:00 this morning. more than a dozen people were injured and we now know three dead and four of the injured were flown to nearby trauma centers. initial reports say the tractor trailer was traveling southbound and one crossed the median and hit the bus head-on. the cab is out there in the woods and you can see the wreckage on the roadway both sides of highway are shut down here. this is i-380 here in monroe county in the mt. pocono region interstate 380, both sides of the roadway are shut down and in the area where it's now backed up for miles in this area. chopper 6 hd is over the scene and you can see rescuers there on the scene again 3 kills and 13 injured and some are sent to area trauma centers, we'll continue to monitor this situation. here on the air and online at 6abc.com. >> before we do t
