notice the purple shading northern jersey, shorn new york from the poconos, that's saying a possibilityf a foot of snow in that area. i think that's a little too high and exaggerated. because it's october, temperatures are going to be borderline. we're going to get rain first. the ground temperatures are still pretty warm. my forecast is for the cities, we're talking d.c., baltimore, philly and new york, slushy to an inch. maybe at worst an inch or two on the trees. the suburbs anywhere from i-95 north and west one to three inches is definitely a possibility. i still think your roads no worse than slushy. up in the hills, three to six inches. i'm worried about trees coming down. you still have leaves on the trees. then if you're up in the mountains, a possibility of 6 to 12, that's where you'll need the plows and shovels, catskills and poconos. let me time it out for you. everything is fine today. it's a cold morning. windchills in the 20s. but as the timing of the storm goes, it's not until saturday afternoon that we see the snow start coming down outside in the mountains of the appala
