all snowfall for allentown into the poconos. seeing more of a moderate to even a heavy snowfall. jillian mele reporting that we're seeing snow covered roads. so you want to be very careful especially in the locations that have seen snow for the longest amounts of time, which is allentown. reading, poconos, most of our suburbs. philadelphia, we're just now starting to see it switch over. we have a while before we start to see our roads covered in snow. visibility is already decreasing. either way you cut it at least until 7:00 p.m. tonight, we'll be dealing with messy roads and dangerous conditions. throughout 6:00 a.m. we'll continue to see the snow shifting to the south. it's going to take a long time before we see the rain changes over to snow for atlantic city and cape may. those are one of the last places to see the changeover. but it's also going to be one of the last places we'll see the snow ending. so we expect to see heavier amounts right along the i-95 corridor, mount holly, wilmington millville into cape may. that's w

but our visibility shows that heavy snow is coming down to mount pocono. visibility decreases to a quarter of a mile. same thing in allentown. half a mile in reading. down to one mile in wilmington. one mile in philadelphia. and down to about four miles in millville. what to expect as we head to the rest of today. all snow again if you live in the northern parts of montgomery bucks county lehigh and the poconos. we'll see our higher snowfall accumulations in those areas, 3 to 6 inches of snow expected. closer to norristown, philadelphia, trenton, this is more snow and then rain mixing in. so we're going to see our snowfall amounts going down a bit from the poconos. we expect to see 1 to 4 inches. parts of camden county picking up 2 1/2 inches of snowfall. we could see more than that 4 inch mark. mainly rain for cape may stretching up to atlantic city. less than one inch of snow expected for us. and it is still going to be a first alert weather day, at least until 8:00 p.m. for the slushy snow, leading to a slick, evening rush and then freezing rain is expe

closer to the lehigh valley and the poconos, mainly snow. so we're watching as the snow continues to transition from the northern parts of our area to the southern parts. but it is going to take a while as we head into the rest of your morning hours. so closer to 5:00 6:00 that's when we'll start to see most of the snow just to the south of philadelphia. but it will not be until 7:00, 8:00 in the morning that we see the snow changing over in atlantic city and also stretching into cape may. but once this system gets going, we are going to see most of the accumulating snow in south jersey just to the north of the shore. philadelphia's going to pick up four to seven inches. and we'll see our least amounts closer to the poconos in the lehigh valley. so that's unusual for us. those are normally the locations that see the most snowfall. by 6:00 p.m. we start to see the snow tapering off, which is a good thing as you head home from work. you will notice our temperatures will drop down into the low 20s by 9:00 10:00 at night. it's going to stay that

notice how we have a changeover to snow mainly up in the poconos.e possibility of some accumulation in the upper elevations of the poconos. can't totally rule out a couple of wet snowflakes in through the lehigh valley, maybe down toward reading but looks like most of that is going to be farther to the north. then we get to 6 o'clock. it's not raining everywhere but we have more spotty showers rolling through and another batch of that coming through through the evening hours. it looks like by the time we get to 11 o'clock most of that is pushing offer to the east. not looking at a lot of rain out of this. the gfs has over a half inch but we're going for a third of an inch out of this, maybe a quarter of an inch and that's what most of the models are suggesting right now. as we take a look at temperatures it's going to be a little cooler, 42 degrees by 8 o'clock, 48 by 11 o'clock. we'll get to a high of 52 today and that will probably be at 2 o'clock probably holding that at 3 o'clock and then down to 50 degrees by 5 o'clock. again that rain centered

so mount pocono is changing over to snow.e harmony, and they are seeing the snow and seeing the line continuing to push to the south as we head through the overnight hours. right now, philadelphia temperature has not dropped much. 41 degrees. in millville, tentrenton, 40. and cold rain. and allentown and reading 37 degrees. and mount pocono on the verge of the freezing point, now 33 degrees. futuretracker 2:00 seeing the change over from sleet to snow in lehigh valley berks county. around 5:00 it should be punching through the i-95 corridor. rain in south jersey parts of jersey and sleet mixing in. the morning commute, we have the snow and some of the snow you see the darker shade of purple. that is the heavy snow that is really setting up south and east of philadelphia as we head through the morning hours. 1:00, still snowing. temperatures are dropping down to 27 degrees in philadelphia 24 in allentown. and then finally by about 6:00 the snow will be exiting the coast and then temperatures really will be nosediving by friday
