police and dublin police as well. this is the park sierra apartment complex in dublin where this all happened around 2:00 this afternoon. the apartment where the officer was shot is in the back of the complex. so this is as close to the scene as we can get. the identity of the officer who died has not been revealed but we learned that he had more than 20 years of experience. and the b.a.r.t. officer that shot him had more than 10 years experience. to recap what happened at 2:00 this afternoon we're told that at least four b.a.r.t. police officers opened the apartment of a man on probation. that man was wanted for several robberies that had happened on b.a.r.t. property. that's why b.a.r.t. police were doing this probation search. that man turned out to not be home but the police were doing an active search of his apartment when one of the officers accidently fired his weapon. the single gunshot struck one of the b.a.r.t. officers in the apartment. he died from his injuries at the hospital. now his identity is not bein
