the police are meant to be policing society and that means policing everybody and yes enforcement comes into it but every single day police officers choose not to enforce all sorts of laws if we have a situation where the police immediately they came across evidence of a law being broken and for staying there no police officer would go outside the police station gates by more than five yards because they'd be reporting somebody for some. a minor petty trivial offense and then reporting somebody else for some minor petty trivial offense we can operate where the police are basically. just enforcing everything all the time if you want to look at what happens where that approach is taken look at what happened in new york with the broken windows theory and zero tolerance policing.
